Helping The Boys After The Tornado

A miracle the trio survived Sunday morning’s devastating tornado, Draven King image

Two of the shop’s mainstays Vince Cusimano and Draven King walked out of their rental cabin Sunday with barely the clothes they stood in, lucky to be alive

Both their vehicles and that of Draven’s girlfriend Gabi were heavily damaged by a devastating tornado which swept through our area. The cabin they rented, owned by our own Levin family, lost its roof and second floor but was insured.

Vince’s Flycraft raft is also underneath a pile of trees, squashed and beaten, a number of his Sage Ignitor rods and and Sage reels also taken by the storm.

Vince had left his second story bedroom, barely minutes before the tornado struck, woken by hail and wanting to move a rod from the front porch. Draven and Gabi were also woken by the storm, all 3 were close to the front entrance when the tornado struck. They sought refuge in Draven’s room, huddled on the floor with their 2 dogs.

Draven’s vise remained on the table throughout the devastation

Insurance should take care of vehicles and raft, if not the trailer, they could use some help rebuilding their lives, including the essentials like clothes, and find a new place to live.

We are accepting donations at the shop for these two and the guys are using Draven’s cash app tag for direct donations. Cash app tag: $kingd221.

Donations of clothing or other essentials, fly tying materials, tools, flies and other terminal tackle, can be dropped off at the store too. Vince is a 34 waist pant and a large shirt. Draven takes a 40 pant and XL shirt.
