Loon Tools and the Float ‘N Fly

If you have spent some time nymphing the White out of a boat in the past few high water years you might find this video from Loon Outdoors, somewhat familiar.

The Float ‘N Fly technique isn’t all that new, though probably practiced more on spinning tackle that fly rods as Loon’s Ryan Williams explains.

But grab a 9 or 10′ 6wt fly rod, set up a long deep nymphing rig and some Hada Craft Fur Clousers and you are in the game. A 3/4″ Neva Quit Butt would be a good starting point with some 2x flouro to the required depth
