Join Tadd Fore, Duane Hada, and Keith Reeves on a summer full of smallmouth fun as they bring back their traveling fly fishing clinic for a second year.

The Smallmouth Tour is unique in that it brings the fishing to you. The tour is characterized by 5 stops on some of the best smallmouth fisheries in the Ozarks, so there is bound to be a clinic near you. This year’s stops include favorites such as Crooked Creek and the Ouachita River, but also comprises of stays on the Illinois River in Oklahoma, the Eleven Point River in Missouri, and the lower Spring River near Hardy, Arkansas.
Each stream on the tour boasts varying techniques required to have successful outings for smallmouth on the fly. Tadd, Duane, and Keith take you on a deep dive into these techniques, including how to tie their favorite smallmouth fly patterns. Spend a full day in the classroom learning to tie and learning all about the theory of smallmouth bass on the fly. Spend the second day on the water honing your skills.  Ouachita/Cossatot Rivers – May 22, 23 – $550 per personJoin the guys at Sugar Creek Lodging in Mena, AR for a weekend on secluded sections of some of Duane’s favorite quality waters from when he lived in Polk County. A large, shared cabin has been included in the cost of the event. If you would like to lodge privately, call Sugar Creek Lodge at 479-394-7747 to reserve a cabin. Private cabins are not included.

 Illinois River – June 1, 2 – $500 per person Home to the biggest smallie of the 2020 Tour. Enjoy a river system that boasts many different species to catch on the fly. Hosted by Cookson Hills near Kansas, OK, spend two days learning the ins and outs of this great fishery. Spots are more limited as this a float trip. Oklahoma fishing license is required. Lodging is provided at no extra cost. 

Spring River – June 26, 27 – $500 per person Known more so for its trout fishing and float traffic, the Spring is a gem of a smallmouth fishery that has the potential to produce very large Ozark smallies. Spots are more limited as this is a float trip.

 Crooked Creek – July 10, 11 – $500 per person This smallmouth educational event will be held on the crown jewel of Ozark smallmouth waters. This is the home water of Duane and Tadd. Come learn to tie and fish the productive fly patterns and techniques we love to use on this special location.

 Eleven Point River – July 17, 18 – $500 per person Three miles of pristine, private wadeable smallmouth stream? Count us in! Join the guys for a weekend in Missouri learns all about stalking smallies in low, clear water. A Missouri fishing license is required.
