BUGS N BREWS GETTING JIGGY ON CADDIS AND MIDGES

GET YOUR JIGGY ON at our February Bugs N Brews with Steve Dally delving into the intricacies of Euro Jig fly tying styles.

Steve has five different patterns, each with multiple colors, in the Rainy’s Flies catalogue, and was the creator of the Bugs N Brews concept. So we are super stoked to get him behind the vise for the our February even, which will be held at 6pm Wednesday at Rapp’s Barren Brewery in Mountain Home.

Steve will be teaching at least a couple of specific ties as well as looking at the principals of Euro jiggery, including both his Peeping Caddis Jig and his midge style Tailwater Jigs.

The Dally’s Tailwater Jig pattern, from Rainy’s Premium Flies will add 2 new colors to the existing range this year.

The cost of the class is $15 a head and includes materials. Bring your own tying light, vise, tools and UTC70 thread (black). Class starts 6.30pm. Call the shop on 870 435 6166 to reserve your spot.or the tying class.

Of course our motto for the Bugs N Brews is “Taking Fly Tying To The People”, and we love our local or visiting fly fishers swinging by to watch from the couch, or sit on the patio, and enjoy Rapp’s Breweries brews, or perhaps a glass or wine, non-alcoholic root beer or cream soda.

There is no other way to have this much fun on a Wednesday night.
