THE fun and games will start early on Saturday as we head into Streamer Lovefest 2020.
Wander on in and talk to our regional Sage and RIO reps, perhaps cast the new Payload midpriced streamer stick, and Maverick saltwater sticks, both of which will serve well out on the White River.
Darin and Jeff will also be well placed to answer questions on the right lines to fish the tailwaters or other regional waters.
The Mayfly Project crew will also have a table set up to discuss this unique and fast growing effort to assist foster children through fly fishing and fly tying.
All proceeds from the night’s raffle will be going to the Mayfly Project.
Russ Maddin tying class will start at 8am, and be followed by Canadian streamer guru and Renzetti ambassador Nick Groves.
Sometime around 5ish the store will be cleared of people while we set up for the evening’s festivities, clearing the floor, setting up tying tables and loading the coolers.
Sweetwater Brewery will again be providing beverages and tunes by our Rainy’s rep Grant Braudrick.
Doors open at 6pm with a roll call of streamer smarts, from OG gurus like Galloup and Maddin, commercial tyers wheeling out incredible numbers like Strolis and Schmidt, the guys that stock our own bins like Johnson, Lafkas and Dally, and the list goes on and on.
We are super stoked to have Renzetti Ambassador Matt Grajewski confirmed to be back, and the popular return of Chris “Waderfunk” Franzen.
As usual the event is free but we will be twisting arms and picking pockets to get people to buy raffle tickets for a host of prizes from our sponsors, including the always sought after fly box of flies tied on the night by our guest tyers.
Our major sponsors Yeti, Sage, Simms, RIO, Montana Fly Co, Rainy’s Flies, Flymen Fishing Co, Umpqua, Orvis, TFO, Fishpond are all onboard helping with the rafflie prizes and our awesome shwag bags.
