Our local Trout Unlimited Chapter will be planting Bonneville cutthroat trout eggs on Norfork again tomorrow and are seeking volunteer assistance.
Saturday, June 13th at 7 am at the Mill Pond Gazebo.
This is the same location we met for the last two plantings on the Norfork.
Turn off Highway 5 at River Ridge RD and go past the Bill Ackerman AGFC handicapped access until you see a sign for “TU EGG PLANTING”. Park in the pasture and walk down to the river.
If you arrive later than 7:00 am, you’ll find us working upriver at the island. You’ll want to wear your boots and waders. You can bring a garden hoe and work gloves but they are not required.
We will supply a cooler full of drinks and have brunch for everyone when we are finished.
The needed low water flows are unlikely on the White, so there will be no planting on the White this year.
