Fly To The White From Anywhere

GETTING to the White River and Norfork just got a whole lot easier today with the launch of direct flights between Denver and Branson 4 days a week.

Now leave  most of the country in the morning, land around an hour’s drive from Cotter, jump in a rental car and be on the water by 4pm. Denver of course is a major air hub and as long as you can make the 11.05 am departure you can hit the White the same day. We can probably organise you a half-day guide trip that evening during the long summer days. Look up the direct flights here with Frontier Airlines. The Branson Airport code is BKG.

Getting to the White has been a major hassle for many of our fly fishers, involving 3 hour plus drives from Little Rock, Memphis, North-West Arkansas or Springdale. But the privately owned airport at Branson (handily this side of Branson’s traffic crawl and just off highway 65) has meant a much easier path.

Flights run Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The incoming flight from Denver departs Mile High City at 11.05 am and arrives in Branson at 1.52pm local time. Flights to Denver leave Branson at 2.30pm so there is room to fish the morning of your departure as well.

  • Can you fly from Dallas to Mountain Home now and how?

    • Not without your own plane Fred:)
commercial services were pulled from the Mountain Home airport in the past due to lack of customers.
But the drive time from the Branson airport is pretty quick, not much over an hour to Cotter and way way easy than any of the other airports.

Check the airport website they were doing flights to dallas last year.
