About

IT is a rebirth, with a fresh new look, and a revitalised attitude.

The Ozark Fly Fisher Journal is the weekly fly fishing e-magazine of DALLY’S OZARK FLY FISHER fly shop in Cotter, Arkansas. Its not your everyday fly shop fishing report just as we aren’t your average standoffish flyshop. We run articles, videos, tip, product reviews and releases, music, humor.

It really is the Chronicle of the Fly Shop, the customers and staff, their passions, experiences, the stuff that makes them laugh, cry, cuss and most importantly drives them to fish.

Dally’s Ozark Fly Fisher is located just a few double hauls from the beautiful White River in Cotter, “Trout Capital USA”. We are centrally located on Highway 62, a mile east of the White River Bridge, and 10 minutes from Rim Shoals, the most popular fly fishing location on the river. In fact 10 minutes drive or less will put you on 5 other public acesses

We are 35 minutes from the Norfork Tailwater, and its a similar run to the Bull Shoals Dam and the Upper River.

Our speciality is knowledge; what flies to use, what to cast them with, where to fish them, how to fish them, even what to wear while you are fishing. Our fly selection is extensive, more than 2000 individual flies to choose from, including the best from Umpqua, Rainys and Pacific Fly. We also have an extensive and expanding Custom Fly program of the best local patterns, developed and tied for the White River System. These flies come from the creative minds of local talents like Davy Wotton, David Knowles, John Wilson, Chad Johnson, Ron McQuay, Steve Dally and others.

If its equipment you are after we carry some of the finest names in the business. Our rods come from Sage, TFO and Orvis. We carry Waterworks-Lamson, Sage, Tibor, Orvis and TFO reels, and flylines from Rio and Scientific Anglers. Our waders are Simms, as you would expect, and our apparel comes from Simms, and Sage, we have Fishpond, Orvis  and Simms gear bags, and a huge fly tying selection. You can walk into our store or shop on our Webstore.

Book one of our licenced guides, they are some of the very best on the river, equally capable whether its your first time with a fly rod in hand or you have been fly fishing for 50 years.
