Big Fun On Dry Run Creek

Emails like the following one from Cord McClure in Ok make me glad I don’t have a real job.

We had 9 kids from, I think 4 families, along with their parents wander into the shop last Friday, heading for Dry Run Creek. It was a real burst of energy, and it would have been a hoot being along.

I’d mentioned, after we got them lined out with flies, the right tippet and one extra TFO Bug Launcher outfit, a few pictures from the weekend.

We got a bunch, I hope they put as big a smile on your face as it did mine.

I was with the big group of kids from Oklahoma that came in the shop last Friday and Saturday and I just wanted to tell you thanks again for all of the help you gave us with fly selection, the Redington clothes, and the TFO outfit.

With the extra rod (sweet economical combo by the way) we were able to get a fly rod in the hands of all 9 kids on Saturday at Dry Run Creek. 7 of them had never touched a fly rod so it was an adventure to say the least.

At the end of the day though, I would guess that close to 150 fish were brought to the net so needless to say, they are all hooked on Dry Run fly fishing!!

I must say though, the 2 girls out fished the 7 boys pretty bad! Though we didn’t catch a true monster, we caught a ton of quality fish and can’t wait to get back there soon. Here are a few of my favorite pics from both days.
