IT’s been a hectic day here in this little corner of the fly fishing world.
A pretty steady stream of customers intent on enjoying their Memorial Day fly fishing weekend, cartons of stuff to unpack and put on the walls, a couple of our guide team rolling through, and sunshine streaming through the windows.
San Juans, and cicada patterns are leaping out the doors, with many heading to boat on Norfork. Meanwhile we have been unpacking a monster Simms order and trying to get the shop ship shape.
We now back in fine fettle in waders and boots and are debuting some of Simms new 2011 summer clothing line, which is going to be a must have for the coming heat.
Simms Solar Sombrero, redesigned sun gloves, Sun Gaiters, Lefty’s Lid (for those who like ballcap style with additional protection will all keep you protected under the summer sun.
And there has been a whole lot of buzz around the Simms Microfiber ShortBill Hat. The Journal has been wearing one over the past few weeks and have had to answer plenty of times “where did you get that hat”. I don’t know if I will ever lose the kick from saying “My Flyshop”.
But y’all would have to agree that Bec looks way better than I do, in the blue version.
Incidentally one of the best selling fly fishing shirts we have ever had in the shop is the new Simms Skiff Shirt, the blue (River) long sleeve is now back in all sizes and we have added the Short Sleeve version in Taupe).
Its techy enough for the river, but slick enough to wear out on a Friday night, or on casual days around the office. Don’t be surprised to see me in one shortly.
