A big night time brown for our visitors from California
Grabbing a bunch of fishing buds and all jumping on planes to fly to Arkansas from California to fish for big browns at night takes some serious commitment, or might just you committed in certain households.
Last month Ray and his mates from California wandered in, having made the long haul to Arkansas in search of trophy brown trout, and they We set them up with some flies and advice. This week we got the photos and email.
Hi Steve.
Are you the Australian mate? My name is Ray. Myself and a couple fishin buddies were out there the 1st week of September. We live in Northern California. You gave us some excellent advice about night fishing for big browns. Well, by the end of the week, we finally got it. We apologize for not getting back to you on our last day, but we had to catch a flight in Memphis.
Anyway, we caught 9 big ones our last night there. Jim caught the largest one, was over 25″. We didn’t get a picture, cause I had the camera and was fightin one at the same time. I did manage to send along a couple pics of 2 of them we caught that night that were a little over 24″. I know, Doug caught both of them in the pics. He’s kinda a show-off.
Anyway , lookin forward to corresponding with you & we’re already planning a trip for next year.
