The 2009 Norfork Kids’ Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, June 13th at Quarry Park below Norfork Dam. It is free to all participants 15 years and under.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m., and fishing begins at 9:00 a.m. Click Here For an Registration Form you can download print out and take along to speed your registration.
The derby is hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and The Norfork National Fish Hatchery.
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Rod and Reel Club, North Arkansas Fly-Fishers, and Friends of the Norfork National Fish Hatchery all help to make this event possible. Food, drinks, and prizes are donated by area businesses. Young anglers should bring their own tackle. For more info
