Of course the week that the Trout Unlimited TV crew landed in Arkansas turned on our worst weather since March, but that seems to be the way. But at least the water was low, allowing them shots at, and to catch and release a number of 20+” fish this week.
UPDATE: TRY A 35″ BROWN. Caught and Released on the White On Thursday. We are trying to get the picture asasp.
Frank Smethurst and crew lobbed into the store on Monday to warm up between outings, the Journal was on his day off so missed the chance for a yarn. But via TU president Bill Thorne, part of the local on camera talent along with our mate guide John Wilson, we heard the guys were whacking fish, getting plenty of wintery scenery shots and having a good, albeit chilly, time on the White and Norfork.
The second series will probably air come spring. We’ll try to keep you filled in when it goes to air.
